a little Ray of giving 2017

By Brittany Anson

This Christmas, Ray White Lara & Corio are continuing our popular tradition of giving with the return of a little Ray of giving.

Partnered with the Lara & Corio Rotary and St Vinnies we are collecting gifts and non perishable food to help disadvantaged children and families who may need a little extra light in their festive season.

Every child deserves to smile this Christmas.

“We have ran this fantastic campaign “a little Ray of giving” for the past 5 years, last year we had an overwhelming response of generosity from our community, collecting a total of 177 gift.” – said Principal, Jo Boothroyd.

“This year we have been advised by St Vinnies, that there are so many families in our community that are in need of food this Christmas. We urge everyone who is able, please donate non perishable food or a children’s gift! Whatever you can donate to our office will make a big difference for those families who are less fortunate in our community this Christmas!”

Non perishable foods include:

  • Ready-to-eat canned meats
  • Canned fruits
  • Canned vegetables
  • Protein or fruit bars
  • Dry cereal
  • Granola
  • Beans
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Peanut butter
  • Dried fruit
  • Canned juices
  • High energy foods
  • Food for infants
  • A can opener (with canned foods)

Ray White Lara is located at 16 Hicks Street Lara. Ray White Corio is located at 83E Purnell Road Corio. Ray White Lara & Corio will have their special giving trees in their front window and will be collecting gifts from Friday 1st December 2017 until Monday 18th December 2017.

Ray White has run this initiative across Australia and New Zealand each December since 2012. Last year more than 300 offices across Australia and New Zealand helped raise 30,000 gifts for disadvantaged families this Christmas.
