“Breast cancer changes you, and the change can be beautiful.”
– Jane Cook, Breast Cancer Survivor
The horrendous weather cast upon us from the heavens could not dampen our spirits for our Pink Ribbon Morning Tea on Tuesday 1st October – Come rain, hail or shine, The Show Must Go On!
Plate after plate, door prize after door prize and pink frill after pink frill, filed through the doors of the Lara Museum and within a short while, the sea of pink was a sight to behold. Even though the weather was not playing along with our plans, the morning tea went off without a hitch and roughly 100 revelers joined the cause of raising money and awareness for breast cancer, a heart breaking disease that plays a major role in many people’s lives.
The event was a chance for local business owners and residents to come together, laugh, gossip and share news with new and old friends – something women, especially, greatly value!
After our gold coin donations & raffle proceeds were added at the end of the event, about $900 was raised for the cause, making it a very worthwhile morning!
On behalf of all at Ray White Lara & Northern Suburbs, THANK YOU to all that attended and made our Pink Ribbon Morning Tea as special as it was.
