And just like that, another financial year is done and dusted! The past 12 months has certainly provided us with significant challenges as well as opportunities to grow, and we couldn’t be prouder of how the team has adapted to be able to continue to provide our clients with fantastic customer service.
Although June saw some slight easing of restrictions in our region around open for inspections and on site auctions it is important that we don’t become complacent as we still have a responsibility to everyone in our community to continue to stop the spread of COVID 19. Both our sales team and our rental team are continuing to practice safe hygiene and sanitise each property before and after every inspection as well as the additional safety measures we have implemented in our reception area for visitors coming into our office.

On the rental and leasing front for June we had a great month. We leased a total of 18 properties with our vacancy rate remaining under 1% sitting at just 0.36% for the month and our days on market sitting at just 4 days. Our property management team was also awarded an ‘Elite’ PM business status. This award goes to those businesses that have grown over 150 managements in a 12 month period, and is an outstanding effort for the team.
Our sales department is still experiencing strong buyer demand in our region with numbers attending our open homes and requesting private inspections steadily increasing across the month. With interest rates remaining at an all time low and limited supply in properties available, there is more competition in the market place right now and it may be a great time to take advantage of these conditions if you are intending to sell this year.
