May 2020 Wrap Up

This year has well and truly flown by and we are already in winter! As we take a moment to catch our breath let’s recap on the month that was May.

As we move out of strict lockdown restrictions and the country slowly begins to open back up, our real estate restrictions have also been easing. During May we saw the first stages of this with open homes and on site auctions allowed for up to 10 people at a time and from 1st June this increases to up to 20 people. 

Whilst our team is adhering to strict social distancing and increased hygiene practices to facilitate this, we have seen positive signs that the market is quite active with plenty of open for inspection attendees and steady sales throughout the month. With limited supply of homes available we are seeing multiple buyers miss out so if you are thinking of selling this year, now may be an opportune time to market your property.

Our property management division is continuing to kick goals and hasn’t missed a beat during the pandemic. They have maintained consistently low vacancy rates and low average days on market all whilst continuing to communicate the constantly evolving legislation to our landlords and tenants. In total we leased 22 properties and processed 88 tenancy applications, with our database of prospective tenants growing rapidly. During May we celebrated our 12th birthday “iso style”! While there were no physical celebrations with you, we would like to thank everyone in our community that has supported us and we look forward to many more years ahead of us! 

We are very fortunate to have such a large workplace that we are able to keep our distance and follow COVID 19 WorkSafe recommendations for social distancing, and have now reopened our reception to the public. Additional precautions have been implemented to ensure the safety of the public including taking details of all visitors for tracing purposes and regular sanitisation of our reception to minimise the spread.
