April 2020 Wrap Up

By Stephanie Scacco

The month of April was like no other we have seen, with isolation in full swing, zoom meetings becoming the norm for family gatherings, Easter spent away from loved ones, parents becoming teachers to homeschool their children, and many of our staff members working remotely.

However, despite everything that was happening in the world, we were pleased to be able to continue our award winning service through our digitally modified processes and achieve some great results for our clients.

Our Property Management team had a particularly good month with over 124 applications processed digitally to lease 25 properties which is above average for our office. Our vacancy rates are sitting at 1.33% and days on market just 15 days, also great results. If you have an investment property you need to lease, take advantage of the number of tenants still looking for a property and contact us now to find out more about how our digital leasing process can secure a great tenant for you.

The team have also been taking part in daily webinars and online training sessions to continue to keep up to date with the changing environment and have implemented and amended a number of processes to ensure clients are still receiving great service in a digital format. Our video routine inspections are just one example where we have taken advantage of tools such as FaceTime and Google Hangouts to complete property walkthroughs, and have received positive engagement from both Tenants and Landlords.

The changing landscape has also provided our sales team with the opportunity to connect with more buyers and sellers with digital real estate sites such as Realestate.com.au as well as our own websites seeing higher traffic across our listings during isolation.

With temporary restrictions on group gatherings during April our team took advantage of the increased online presence to virtually show homes, using video inspections to make more properties available for more buyers to digitally view online.

We have also been able to continue to auction properties through our Ray White Online Auctions, allowing buyers to bid on a property from the comfort and safety of their own home while watching the auctioneer calling the auction live.

With a number of active buyers looking to purchase and with interest rates still at an all time low as well as limited options on the market, now may be a great time to sell. Please contact any of our sales team for a digital appraisal of your property and to have a chat about how we can achieve a great result for you during COVID-19.

While our office front has been closed to the public for several weeks now we are still as busy as ever, and are available by appointment or phone for all of your property needs. Stay safe at home, stay healthy and look after yourselves and your family, and we look forward to seeing you all once it is safe to!
