On September 14th, the highly anticipated Barwon Health Charity Auction was held for the property at 465 O’Hallorans Road, Lara. The auction garnered significant attention and excitement, ultimately resulting in the property achieving an impressive sale price of $750,000. This is much more than just a house, and more than a home. It’s hope and support for healthier futures for our community here in Geelong.
Mr Wade-Taylor (Centre left, with Barwon Health chair Dan Simmonds and the buyers, right) said it was a charity auction for the Barwon Health Fund, with bidding starting at $680,000.
“It was a brand new build,” he said.
“The developer, Bisinella Development, donated the land to Barwon Health and Hamlan Homes built the home, everything in the home was donated.
“The whole thing was built for the Barwon Health Fund.
“The buyers were a local couple who were downsizing.”
